Schwalbe Tacky Chan Radial 29 x 2.50" – Gravity Pro Soft

The Schwalbe Tacky Chan Radial is a high-performance gravity tyre developed for maximum cornering grip, powerful braking traction and speed on demanding terrain.

Developed through World Cup downhill racing, the Tacky Chan combines an aggressive, fast-rolling tread pattern with Schwalbe's Radial casing technology for increased trail contact, improved damping and greater control through rough and technical terrain.

This 29 x 2.50" version combines the tough Gravity Pro casing with Schwalbe's versatile Soft compound, making it an excellent choice for downhill, enduro and aggressive e-MTB riders who need maximum casing support without moving to the faster-wearing Ultra Soft compound.

Radial Technology

Schwalbe's Radial construction allows the tyre to conform more effectively to the terrain, helping more of the tread remain in contact with the ground.

Schwalbe states the Radial construction provides approximately 30% more contact area at the same tyre pressurecompared with its conventional casing construction. The result is increased grip, damping and control through rough terrain.

Gravity Pro + Soft

The Gravity Pro casing is designed for maximum stability and protection under demanding gravity riding.

Its robust construction provides the support needed for high-speed cornering, hard impacts and aggressive descending, making it particularly well suited to downhill, enduro and heavier e-MTB applications.

Paired with the Soft compound, this version provides an excellent balance of grip, damping and durability for riders who want serious gravity performance without the shorter lifespan of an Ultra Soft compound.

The Tacky Chan was developed around the demands of World Cup downhill racing.

Long braking edges provide powerful braking traction, while the open shoulder area helps deliver predictable cornering feedback and effective self-cleaning. Ramped centre knobs help reduce rolling resistance, giving the Tacky Chan an excellent combination of speed, braking performance and cornering grip.
