Sram Maven Silver Brakes

The SRAM Maven Silver is a seriously powerful four-piston hydraulic disc brake built for aggressive trail, enduro, downhill and high-performance eMTB riding.

At CB Cycles, we run Maven Silvers on our own Forbidden Druid E and rate them highly. They provide huge braking power without requiring excessive lever effort, while retaining the modulation needed to control speed through steep and technical terrain.

For heavier and faster full-power eMTBs, that combination of power, consistency and control makes Maven an excellent choice.

Our Current Maven Setup

Our current Forbidden Druid E setup combines:

• SRAM Maven Silver brakes
• SRAM HS2 rotors
• Galfer Purple Maven brake pads

We've found this combination delivers excellent power and control for aggressive eMTB riding. The HS2 rotors have also proven to be a very capable pairing with the Maven calipers, so you don't necessarily need to replace an existing quality SRAM rotor setup when moving to Maven.

Why We Like the Maven Silver

Maven Silver combines the braking performance of SRAM's Maven platform with tool-free reach and contact-point adjustment, allowing the cockpit and lever feel to be tuned to the rider.

For aggressive eMTB use, it's one of our favourite brake setups and one we actually choose to ride ourselves.
