The 5DEV Titanium 104 BCD 36T Chainring is a premium chainring upgrade for high-power eMTBs and an option we particularly recommend for Avinox-powered bikes.

CB Cycles has been running this chainring for around 18 months, and one of the biggest benefits we've found is a significant reduction in drivetrain wear compared with conventional aluminium chainrings. Titanium offers excellent resistance to tooth wear and impact damage, making it particularly well suited to the sustained torque of full-power eMTBs.

Why We Recommend 36T for Avinox M2S

Avinox uses a 104 BCD chainring interface, making the 5DEV 104 BCD chainring a straightforward upgrade for compatible Avinox crank and spider configurations.

For the higher-powered Avinox M2S system, we particularly like the 36T size.

The larger chainring encourages better use of the cassette's available gear range rather than spending excessive time in a small number of the higher gears. This helps distribute drivetrain wear across more of the cassette and can reduce the accelerated chain and cassette wear associated with high-power eMTB systems.

For riders putting significant kilometres and climbing into their Avinox bike, drivetrain longevity alone can make a quality titanium chainring a worthwhile upgrade.
